Grant Development Services

The Grants Office can help turn your grant idea into a completed proposal.  We provide the following services to support proposal development and project start-up:

  • Help identify potential funding sources for your proposal from state and federal agencies, private foundations, and corporate giving programs
  • Act as point of contact with grantor and any project partners involved in the project
  • Act as point of contact with applicant institution for proposals where we are partner
  • Write and/or edit the proposal narrative based upon content provided by you (such as data sources, goals and objectives, plan of operation, evaluation plan)
  • Draft letters of commitment/support (if required by grantor) for project partners identified by you
  • Help develop an accurate proposal budget that meets the grantor’s definition of allowable costs
  • Work with the PCC Foundation to provide financial reports and other required attachments for grant applications to private funders
  • Complete all forms in the application package
  • Ensure that the proposal contains all attachments, signatures, assurances and certifications required by the funder
  • Submit the proposal in a timely manner in advance of the application deadline
  • Prepare a report describing the proposal and budget to the Board of Trustees for all grant applications to public funding sources
  • Provide final budget information and copies of award notifications to Fiscal Services for grants from public funding sources
  • Provide copies of award letters to the PCC Foundation for grants from private funding sources
  • If an application to a public source is not selected for funding, obtain reviewer comments that can be used to revise and resubmit proposal in the next funding cycle
  • If an application to a private source is not selected for funding, follow up with grantor to determine whether to resubmit or seek a different funding source
