Thank you for your consideration in this matter. Commencement will take place on Friday May 3, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in Robinson Stadium Graduation RehearsalThe graduation rehearsal will take place at 9:00 a.m. sharp the day of commencement. We encourage all graduates to attend the rehearsal. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. in Galloway Plaza (at the south end of Parking Structure Lot 5) Bonnie Ave. and the east end of Robinson Stadium). The rehearsal will be completed by 10:30 a.m. Assembly Time and PlaceGraduates will assemble at 6 p.m. on the ground level of the Parking Structure located at Bonnie Ave. and Del Mar. Please be on time. Graduates will be asked to form two lines, those whose last name begins with the letters A through L and those whose last name begins with the letters M through Z. Find the signs in the parking structure and line up accordingly. In case of rain, Commencement will take place in Sexson Auditorium. (top) Official Name Card and TasselsIf you did not receive an official name card or tassel with your cap and gown or if you have lost it, you can obtain a card at the Graduate assembly line. (top) Disabilities AccommodationsThere is a special section designated in Robinson Stadium to accommodate deaf and hard of hearing students, their families and guests. This special section will afford you the best view of the sign language interpreter. The reserved seating section will be located on the West end and home side of the stadium and marked VIP section. Look for the VIP signs. Handicapped-designated parking is available in both of the campus parking structures and in most of the open parking lots. There is a large section of designated parking on Level 1 of the structure labeled Lot 4, near the intersection of Hill Avenue and Del Mar Boulevard. Accessible viewing areas for guests with mobility disabilities are located throughout Robinson Stadium and there are multiple accessible routes to these locations. There are four wheelchair insets in the front row of the Home side stands and ten in the front row of the Visitor side stands. Each wheelchair inset includes bleacher seating for accompanying guests. (top) Procession of Graduates from StadiumGraduates will process out of Robinson Stadium through the East Gate and through the Sculpture Garden, into the Campus Center Quad where a celebration with free refreshments and music will take place. (top) Where to Meet your GraduateMeet your graduate in the Campus Center Quad area! Do not attempt to run onto the field or meet your graduate in line. (top) Cap and Gown ReturnStudents: Please remember to return your cap and gown in the Campus Center WiFi Lounge. DiplomasYou will receive a diploma cover at the Ceremony. Emergencies and First AidSeek out a uniformed officer for assistance. Police Officers, campus police, and cadets will be on hand to help handle emergencies that may occur. A FIRST AID STATION is located in the Hutto Patterson Gym on the second floor. (top) Lost and FoundIf you have lost an item, check with Campus Police or call (626) 585-7484. Use of Cameras & Video EquipmentFor the convenience of the graduates, the college provides a professional photography service. Please do not use flash or lighted video equipment during the program. Please be mindful not to block the view of the ceremony while you are taking photos. (top) Graduation PicturesEach graduate will be photographed as they receive their diploma. You will receive a photo by mail. Be sure to update your mailing address with the Records Office and the Alumni Office to ensure proper delivery. (top) |
