This book is an excellent resource.  It includes clinical information (such as general orientation to nursing school, tips, useful data and procedures), both monthly and weekly calendars, and a telephone directory section.  Everything you need to stay on top of your course work and day-to-day responsibilities...all in one place!

Health Care Communication Group.  (2001).  Writing, Speaking, and Communication Skills for Health Professionals. New Haven:  Yale University Press. 

This is a must for both new and experienced health care providers.  It has chapters on reading scientfic articles, writing for the professions,  public speaking about science, and the business aspects of health care, including a wonderful chapter on communicating in the clinical setting.
