CONTEST: Libraries make a difference…

In honor of Shatford Library's award for Excellence in Academic Libraries , the Library is sponsoring a campus contest to celebrate
how libraries make a difference in the lives of PCC students. 

This contest is open to Pasadena City College students who have taken classes in 2007-08.

Students may submit one original entry in any one of the three areas listed below:

  • Literature (e.g. essay, short story, poem)
  • Performing Arts (e.g. music, dance, performance)
  • Visual Arts (e.g. painting, drawing, photography, mixed media, sculpture, film/media)

Winning entries in each category will receive $100. 
The Library retains the right to use the winning entries in promotion of Shatford Library

  • Entries must relate to the “Libraries make a difference” theme.
  • Only original works of literature and art will be accepted.
  • Entries will be judged anonymously by a committee of faculty and staff. 
  • All entries will be displayed at the Shatford Library during the month of May.
    Entries may be picked up after June 9th. The Library is not responsible for entries left after 6/30/08.

Contest Deadline is at noon, April 11, 2008. 

Deliver entries to the Circulation Desk, Shatford Library.
