Lost and Found Policy

Please do not leave personal belongings unattended in the library. The Library is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Anything found in the library or turned in by a patron will be examined by library staff to see if an owner can be identified. If so, they will make attempts to contact the owner. If not, the item will be placed in the "Lost and Found" bin in the Circulation Department.

Valuable items such as wallets are kept in a locked location. Exceptions are photocopies of any papers containing sensitive or personal information (i.e. Social Security cards, passports, drivers licenses, credit card receipts), which will be shredded.

Campus Police pick up all library "Lost & Found" items Monday through Thursday. Anything turned in on a Friday or Saturday will be picked up on the following Monday (or Tuesday if there is a holiday). Patrons should first inquire at the Circulation Desk for lost items. If the item is not in the library’s "Lost and Found" bin, they should contact the Campus Police directly (Building B 210, Ph. 626 585-7484).

The Campus Police Office is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Campus Police hold Lost and Found items for 90 days after which they are disposed of or donated to charitable causes.  See PCC Campus Police Lost and Found Policy.
