Technology Assessment Project

Pasadena City College is conducting a broad and deep technology assessment of the college's current technology capabilities. The project is being led by Strata Information Group (SIG), a consulting firm specializing in this area.

Some of the key components of the assessment will include:

  • Objective assessment of the District´s current technology circumstances
  • Broad and deep review of how information technology is used to support teaching, learning, administrative functions, etc.
  • Consideration of how information technology is used to enhance services to students, faculty, staff, administrators, and others
  • Analysis of the District´s applications, capabilities, organizational structure, staffing, issues, opportunities for improvement, etc.
  • Review of relevant policies, procedures, governance, and operations
  • Analysis of technical support services
  • Assessment of business processes within, and across,organizational boundaries
  • Review of current information technology projects
  • Consideration of information technology delivery (e.g., smart classrooms, web services, satisfaction of ADA requirements)
  • Recommendations for improvement and an actionable plan for the future
