News: Pasadena City College Spring Semester Begins Feb. 19
More than 29,000 students are expected to attend the first day of the spring semester at Pasadena City College on Feb. 19.
PCC is experiencing a five percent enrollment growth over spring semester of last year and will offer 2,384 morning, afternoon, and evening sections.
“The growth is a reflection of the vote of confidence given by the community on the quality of education PCC provides,” said Dr. Paulette J. Perfumo, PCC President.
Academic and Career and Technical Education classes are offered on the main PCC campus and at the Community Education Center, located at 3035 E. Foothill Blvd.
“PCC continues to focus its attention on courses needed by students at the days and times that accommodate their active schedules,” said Sabah Alquaddoomi, PCC associate dean of Enrollment Management. “Our enrollment for the spring is continuing to move up as we draw near to the start of classes. We are continuously are working on making fine adjustments necessary to provide more seats in sections that are in high demand.”
Some classes have been filled, but there are many classes still available to current and prospective students. By clicking on the “Open/Closed Classes” option on the web, students can see up-to-date class availability.
Students can also register online, check the status of enrollment, and determine the availability of classes by accessing pasadena.edu and then clicking on the “Lancer Link” hyperlink. Once there, students can specify their search.
Financial aid is still available for the spring semester, and students are encouraged to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the Board of Governors Fee Waiver (BOGFW) application for consideration.
On-campus resources include phone lines connected automatically to the registration system. This equipment is located in the lobby of the L building. PCC staff is available to answer questions.
