PCC in the News News: UCLA Professor to Discuss Latinos and African Americans in Community Colleges Nov. 10As part of Pasadena City College’s Jackie Robinson Arts and Humanities Lecture Series, Dr. Patricia Gándara of UCLA will be discussing Latinos and African Americans in community colleges on Nov. 10 at 6 p.m. in PCC’s Creveling Lounge Dr. Gándara is a professor of education in the Graduate School of Education and Information Sciences at UCLA. Dr. Gándara was recently named to President Obama's Advisory Commission on Educational Excellence for Hispanics. She is also a fellow of the American Educational Research Association and recipient of its Presidential Citation at the 2011 AERA annual conference.
