The series begins with a talk by historian, novelist, and poet Susan D. Anderson on Feb. 21, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. in PCC’s Creveling Lounge. She will be discussing the experiences of African Americans in the early 20th century in California.
On Feb. 26, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Jackie Robinson Center in Pasadena, a “Senior Panel” will be moderated by Johari Dewitt-Rogers, former director of Media Services at PCC.
On Feb. 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. in Creveling Lounge, former U.S. Congressman Mervyn Dymally will be exploring the evolution of cultural identities and politics in California spanning his political career in an “interview.”
