News: Conference to Focus on Student-Veterans

Pasadena City College presents “The Road Home 2.0: The Next Step,” a conference designed to help administrators and faculty maximize the opportunity for success for student veterans. The conference is two days, beginning April 25 at 8 a.m. in PCC’s Creveling Lounge. It will feature a discussion on women veterans’ issues and a veterans’ transition course, training workshops for faculty and staff, a boot camp for administrators and PCC Board of Trustees members, and much more.

The morning sessions will focus on a broad overview of the issues facing returning veterans, as well as an extensive rundown on military culture, the general experience of veterans on campus, and women veterans.

The afternoon will be highly participative sessions where colleagues will discuss challenges, best practices, and new ideas around more specific topics of relevance to student-veterans.
