News: PCC Students Place 3rd in PSCFA Spring Championship Debate Tournament

2014 Speech and Debate Team

Pasadena, Calif., - Pasadena City College scored a major victory at the 2014 PSCFA Spring Championship Speech and Debate Tournament, placing 3rd overall in the Forenscis Tournament February 21 - 23, 2014.

Over 35 schools participated in the Tournament with over 100 debates and 700 individual events.  PCC placed 3rd overall in the sweepstakes division, beating out competitors such as UCLA, UC Santa Barbara, University of Arizona, California State Universities Long Beach, Fullerton, and Northridge.  "I am so proud of our team and what they have accomplished," said Allan Axibal-Cordero, Director of PCC's Speech and Debate team.
