News: The 2014 Borders of Diversity Conference

This year’s Borders of Diversity Student Conference is scheduled for Thursday, March 20th (an all day event).

 

All events are free and open to the public (anyone may attend).  The conference will take place in Creveling Lounge (in the CC building, above the cafeteria).  Light refreshments will be served at each event.

This year’s Borders of Diversity Student Conference is scheduled for Thursday, March 20th.

 

This year’s line up includes an intriguing poster session about the invention of discourse communities, an intercollegiate conversation with students from East Los Angeles College, and additional panels addressing the negotiation of identity, ecological responsibility, and the Latino community college experience.  Reyna Grande, celebrated author and PCC alumna, will be giving this year’s keynote talk from 1-3 PM as part of the day’s events.  For more info about the author, please see to her official website.  For the complete schedule, please see the complete schedule below; I’ve also attached the official flyer..
