Former Pasadena City College football All-American David Reed is showing the rest of the nation the talents that allowed him to set several receiving records here in 2006-2007. Now a senior at the University of Utah, Reed caught the second longest pass in Utes' history during Utah's 23-16 overtime victory over Air Force October 24.

In the third quarter, Reed took a slant pass from quarterback Terrance Cain and broke loose for a 90-yard touchdown play. He finished with 7 receptions for 149 yards. Reed is 10th in the nation in receiving with 45 receptions for 695 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Since arriving at Utah last year, the nationally 19th-ranked Utes have won 19 of 20 games.

The talented wide receiver, orginally from Connecticut, is PCC's all-time receptions leader, single-season receptions leader, and he set a national community college record in 2007 when he caught 111 passes for 1,661 yards in just 10 games.

As a junior in 2008, he played for a Utes team that went undefeated at 13-0, scoring a TD in the team's Sugar Bowl win over Alabama.
