News: Men's Cross Country Going To SoCal As At-Large

The Pasadena City College men's cross country team was one of a few teams chosen as an at-large squad to participate in the Southern California Championships this Saturday, Nov. 3 at Costa Mesa's Fairview Park.

The Lancers finished sixth at the South Coast Conference Championships Oct. 25 and only the top five teams received automatic advancement to the SoCals. PCC is led by freshman Francis Lee, who took 18th individually at the SCC meet.

The women's team had already qualified due to its fourth place finish in its race. Diane Lombardi, an All-SCC Second Team performer, placed ninth overall.

At Costa Mesa, the women's 5-kilometer race begins at 11 a.m. and is followed by the men's 4-mile race at 12 noon.
