The Pasadena City College women's badminton team moved to 2-0 with a 21-0 blanking of El Camino College in a South Coast Conference match played Friday at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.

The Lancers received two singles sweeps each from No. 1 player Carmina Ortiz, No. 2 Chloe Ding, No. 3 Preline Bonifacio, and No. 4 Yingwen Lin. Yinghong Lin and Serena Yan both won one match and picked up walkovers with El Camino fielding only five of the usual six needed to play a team match.

In doubles, No. 1 pair Ortiz-Ding and No. 2 pair Bonifacio and Alejandra Palacios were 2-0 each.

In singles, Ortiz surrendered just 23 points in her four set wins while Ding gave up only 25 in the matchups v. El Camino's top seeds Jeanne Mansala and Bryer Cochran.

On Wednesday, Mar. 19, PCC visits its conference nemesis East Los Angeles in a 3 p.m. match. The Huskies shared last year's SCC title with the Lancers.
