Pasadena City College staff will be on campus to assist prospective students with the online application process and submittal of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. Assessment Services will also schedule English, English as a Second Language, and math placement exams.*

FAFSA Application Checklist
Building W, Room 101

Please bring:

  • Your Social Security Number
  • W-2 Forms for the previous year and other records of any money earned
  • Your (or your parents') most recent Federal Income Tax Return (if any) - IRS Form 1040, 1040A, 1040EZ, foreign tax return, or tax return for Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Marshall Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia
  • Any untaxed income records for the previous year e.g. payments to tax-deferred pension and savings plans, tax-exempt interest, and child support received
  • Any current bank statements
  • Any current business and investment mortgages information, business and form records, stock, bond, and other investment records
  • Documentation that you are a U.S. permanent resident or other eligible noncitizen, if applicable

Assessment Services
Building D, Room 205

*English, English as a Second Language, and math placement exams are computerized and multiple-choice. It takes approximately 2 1/2 to 3 hours to complete two exams. If you have submitted your admission application prior to 3/2/13, Assessment Services will administer English or ESL and math exams to the first 40 students who RSVP via email to Denise Carter at dkcarter@pasadena.edu In the RSVP email include your Name (First, Last), Phone Number (With Area Code), High School Last Attended and Year Graduated from High School. You will receive an email with further details on the testing process. For students submitting admission applications on or after 3/2/13, please visit the Assessment Services Office website at www.pasadena.edu/placement for information on testing hours.
