PCC's Public Relations Office produces communications materials for both on and off-campus audiences.

To inform the community about PCC’s quality educational programs, the Public Relations Office sends news releases to local, national and international media. The area incoroprates 21st century communication techniques as well and employs social networking mediums, viewbooks, and blogs. These announcements help publicize campus events, support enrollment needs and relate interesting stories about our students and staff.

On May 21, Pasadnea City College Student Health Services and the PCC Cross Cultural Center present “That Voice in the Wilderness is Laughing,” a presentation by comedian Brian Wetzel on the many factors that contribute to clinical depression, and the complex issues surrounding this mood disorder.

Angie Ortiz Captures State Badminton Singles Title

Freshman Angie Ortiz performed a Pasadena City College athletics first Saturday afternoon. The Lancer captured the CCCAA State Individual Singles championship, the first by a PCC player in the 13 years of California Community College women's badminton. In the finals match at San Diego City College, Ortiz rallied from a set down to defeat City College of San Francisco's Evonne Zheng, 18-21, 21-12, 21-12.

Study Abroad In Florence, Italy this Fall

Pasadena City College’s Dr. Rita D’Amico, associate professor of Italian, and Dr. Sandra Haynes, professor of art history, will be leading the Florence Study Abroad program this fall semester. D’Amico will be teaching Italian Culture and Italian Cinema, while Haynes will be teaching History of Western Art, European, Renaissance and Baroque Art, and Art Fundamentals.
