PCC Speech and Debate Team Beats Out 4-Year Universities for Top Placements

This past weekend, Pasadena City College brought a motley crew of 18 students to a local speech and debate tournament to go toe-to-toe with the likes of Azusa Pacific University, Arizona State University, UC Berkeley, and several California State University schools.

PCC Speech and Debate Team Wins Multiple First Place Awards on Home Turf

A few hundred students from 22 different schools visited Pasadena City College this past weekend to compete at the annual Watson-Lancer Speech and Debate Invitational. Out of more than 400 total entries, three PCC students managed to take home first-place trophies in their respective events.

This past Saturday, five students from Pasadena City College took home Excellence Awards at a local warm-up tournament for the speech and debate season. These awards distinguished them as some of the top students out of the 85 separate Debate entries and 115 Speech entries that were registered.
