Introduction to the fundamental technical and aesthetic principles of motion picture photography. Practical training in the use of motion picture cameras. Introduction to image control through exposure, lighting, and selection of film, camera, lens, and filters. Examination of the cinematographer as a visual storyteller to develop a broader understanding of the balance between artist and technician. Introduction to artistic image editing using industry standard digital image editing software for photographers, illustrators and graphic designers.
