PETH 5 FIRST AID-RESPONDING TO EMERGENCIES 3 Units

Prerequisite(s): None.
Provides the knowledge and skill necessary in an emergency to help sustain life, reduce pain, and minimize the consequences of injury or sudden illness until professional medical help arrives. American Red Cross certificates will be issued to successful candidates in First Aid - Responding to Emergencies and Adult CPR. Total of 54 hours lecture. Transfer Credit: CSU; UC credit limitations. See counselor. Grading: Letter Grade or Pass/No Pass
