This course is designed for the entering classical, jazz and commercial music major. It consists of twelve 45-minute private lessons with an instructor on the Applied Music staff, participation in a weekly music recital class, and an end-of-semester jury performance. Topics include intermediate technical etudes and exercises, tone production, scales, and short performance pieces. Recommended enrollment in smaller ensemble and/or jazz groups.
