History and description of present-day developments in the industry. In-depth work with safe use of inks, solvents and equipment. Thorough investigation of ink-stencil system compatibility, preparation of mechanicals for screen process, screen fabrics and frames. Intensive work with color and design for the commercial screen printer. Application of various inks to a wide variety of substrates. Thorough introductory use of the process camera and headliner. Total of 162 hours lecture. Grading: Non Credit Course
