Reading and composition to prepare students for college classes. Practice in advanced sentence structure; methods of paragraph and essay development; reading of college-level material. Recommended enrollment in Engl 415. No credit if taken after ESL 33B, Engl 1A, 1B, 1C or 100. Cannot be taken concurrently with ESL 33B, 122, 422, 420, Engl 1A, 1B, 1C, 100, 400.
