Explore the field of physical anthropology, emphasizing the evolution of the human species. Topics include human heredity, mechanisms of human change, human variation, and the reconstruction of human evolutionary history through examination of the fossil record and comparative studies of our closest biological relatives, the living apes. ANTHR 30H APPLICATIONS OF ARCHEOLOGICAL FIELD WORK 2 Units

Prerequisite(s): Enrollment in or completion of one of the following: Anthr 1, 2, 3, or 4.
Field investigation of the regional cultures and cultural artifacts in selected areas of the world. Required instructional trips (an average of two hours each week).
