PREALGEBRA I

Prerequisite(s): Math 450, or placement based on the Math assessment process.
An individualized computer-based program in prealgebra; basic algebraic skills involving fundamental mathematical operations with integers, fractions, decimals, and percents. Simplifying algebraic expressions and solving equations. Maximum credit for Math 402, 401ABC, and 400AB is 4 units. No credit if taken after Math 402, 401B, 401C, or 400B. Math 400A and Math 400B are 2 units each with a total of 45 hours lecture per semester. Grading: Letter Grade or Pass/No Pass

PREALGEBRA II

No. 7716: This section is intended for students who have previously completed Math 400B but did not receive a passing grade. A recommendation from your previous Math 400B instructor is needed. Permission to enroll in section 7716 must be obtained from Ms. Yamato by attending a mandatory orientation meeting on May 13 at noon. You must purchase the Hawkes introductory and intermediate combo computer license by May 13, 2013. In addition to the 15 hrs./week in R408, you are required to do much of the Hawkes homework at home via the internet.
