Adding Dates

Click on Add Date to add a new date.

In order for a date to be published by a user, it will be reviewed by an administrator. Everything that has an asterisk next to it, has to be filled in.

Several things to keep in mind:

1. This is where set the desired publication status, whether it is to publish to the main PCC page, your department's page, both PCC and your department, or your own page. Unless you are a department administrator, your submission will be reviewed before being approved for addition to the department page or PCC homepage.

2. Select the Semester if appropriate. Some Important Dates are not associated with a semester, like New Years Day. In that case you can select None.

2. An Important Date's Start Date and End Date, are the scheduled dates of that activity. You must complete the Start and End Dates. If the Important Date is something like a holiday when the campus is closed and it occurs on a single day, the start and end dates will be the same. If the item is an activity scheduled over serveral days, like registration dates, you would enter the beginning and ending dates. The Important Date will be published to the web site as soon as it is submitted and approved for the appropriate Publication Status. HINT: if your important date has a time duration, such as 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., then it might be better published as an Event.

3. When you are done filling everything out, you should look back over your information to make sure everything is correct and click Submit. A confirmation page will appear.
