Disabled Student Programs and Services provides educational support services and reasonable accommodations for students with verified disabilities who are enrolled in courses at PCC.

 

PLEASE NOTE:  DSPS will be closed for the break, beginning on Monday, December 22, and will reopen on Monday, January 5, prior to the start of the spring semester. The "L" Building will be open on December 22 and 23.

 

STEPS TO SIGNING UP FOR DSP&S SERVICES

1. Apply to PCC at least one (1) month before the semester starts.

You will receive an e-mail confirmation that your application to PCC has been submitted. You can also check your CCC Apply account, or go to the PCC Admissions Office to check the status of your application.

2. Activate your Lancer Point Account. You will use this account to see your registration date, add and drop classes, pay fees and check your grades.

New students must complete online and group orientations and the placement tests before registering for classes.

3. Complete the Online New Student Orientation.

4. Take the English, ESL or math placement exams at the Assessment Center, located in D-205.

5. Register and attend a Group Orientation

Figure out how you will pay for school

Consider applying for for financial aid. All Federal and State financial aid programs require students to complete the FREE APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL STUDENT AID (FAFSA).

Department of Rehabilitation:

If you are a current consumer of the California Department of Rehabilitation,  contact your case manager to arrange for funding approval before you register for classes.

HOW TO APPLY FOR DISABLED STUDENT PROGRAMS AND SERVICES:

Complete the steps listed above. Come to our office located in Building D, Room 209. Bring your student ID number. Also provide a COPY of your disability documentation that we can keep. We will then schedule an intake appointment for you.
