1. Apply to the college
Fill out a college application for admission in person or apply for admission online.
2. Take the Assessment/Placement test in D-205
In this process you will take reading, writing, and math tests to determine your basic skills/levels for appropriate class placement.
3. Apply for financial aid
Complete the financial aid application on-line or contact the Financial Aid office about workshops.
4. Apply for services in Disabled Student Programs & Services located in D-209
You will fill out a form and be given an appointment with the Program Advisor for an intake. You will need to bring documentation of your disability to receive services.
5. Register for classes
Make an appointment to meet your DSPS counselor. Be prepared to pay all fees by the due date. If the Depart of Rehab pays your fees, be sure to contact your DR counselor and have them send the authorization before your registration date.
6. Buy textbooks
Books are expensive. Visit the campus bookstore for specific prices or check on-line. If the Department of Rehabilitation pays for your books and supplies, contact your DR counselor for the appropriate form and procedure.
