This test is composed of three adaptive sections, arithmetic,
elementary algebra, and college level math. All students taking
this exam will begin with the arithmetic section. Students who meet
or surpass the minimum passing score in arithmetic will proceed
to elementary algebra. Students who meet or surpass the minimum
passing score in elementary algebra will proceed to college level
math.
Arithmetic Section
The arithmetic section measures skills in three
primary categories—operations with whole numbers and fractions,
operations with decimals and percents, and problem solving. There
are a total of 17 questions on this section.

College Level Math Section
The college level math section measures skills
from intermediate algebra through precalculus. It is divided into
six categories—algebraic operations, solutions of equations
and inequalities, coordinate geometry, applications and other algebraic
topics (complex numbers, series and sequences, determinants, permutations
and combinations, and fractions), word problems, functions, and
trigonometry. There are a total of 20 questions on this section.
