Financial Aid Programs
Federal Pell Grant: The Federal Pell Grant Program provides grants (funds that do not require repayment) to eligible undergraduate students who demonstrate financial need. Students can transfer their Pell Grant to another school but cannot receive Pell Grant from two schools for the same enrollment period.
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG): FSEOG Program supplements educational costs that cannot be covered by the Pell Grant. FSEOG funds are very limited. FSEOG funds usually are offered to students with exceptional need and meet priority funding deadlines.
Federal & State Work-Study: Work-study offers students on and off-campus employment opportunities. Students may work up to 20 hours per week while school is in session. Funds are limited; therefore, FWS awards are made to students who meet priority funding deadlines.
Federal Perkins Loan: This is a loan program and must be REPAID with interest. The interest rates are low and repayment terms flexible. Repayment incentives are also available to students in specialized majors.
Federal Direct/Stafford Loan: This is a low-interest, long-term loan program offered by the Federal government. This is a loan and must be REPAID with interest. Eligible students must be enrolled at least half-time.
Nursing Student Loan: A low-interest loan program available to students pursing a career in nursing. Flexible repayment options and deferment provisions are available.
