Los Angeles Immunization Network (LINK) Frequently Asked Questions Regarding LINK (Los Angeles Immunization Network)LINKLINK1) Will my record be kept private?Yes. Your immunization information will be kept safe and private. Only authorized LINK providers can access records in LINK. Providers need to be trained and sign a confidentiality agreement to protect patients’ records before they can use LINK. Robust firewalls are in place to keep records private.2) Who can access my immunization record?Only authorized agencies listed in the Disclosure Form that you are receiving services from can access you immunization record.3) How will LINK benefit me?Since LINK providers have your most current immunization history, you will not receive unnecessary duplicate immunizations. You can always get a copy of your most current immunization record from a LINK provider.4) What if I lose the printed immunization record?Lost immunization records can be replaced by visiting any LINK provider. An up-to-date copy of the official immunization record can be printed quickly and easily.5) What if I change providers?All LINK providers within Los Angeles and Orange counties can retrieve your most current immunization record.6) Can you combine multiple immunization records into one record?All shots a patient has received will be combined into one record within LINK.7) How long is my immunization record kept and available?Records will always be available in LINK unless you tell a provider to delete it. |
