Learning Assistance Center Mission

The mission of the Learning Assistance Center is to develop, provide, and assess academic support services in concert with the college's educational master plan that engage our diverse student population through the promotion of deep learning, leading to the completion of college goals and socially responsible employment.

Learning Outcome 1

Students enrolled in LAC 3033 (Learning Assistance) who utilize LAC services a minimum of 15 hours per semester will be more successful in their “parent” credit basic skills courses than students in similar credit courses who do not.

Learning Outcome 2

Students enrolled in LAC 3031 (Tutoring) who utilize LAC services a minimum of 15 hours per semester will be more successful in their “parent” credit courses than students in similar credit courses who do not.
