STUDENT SERVICES

Welcome to LEAP

Project LEAP is a mentoring program developed in cooperation with the Pasadena City College Partnership for Excellence. It is designed to increase the retention rate of probationary, under-represented students and returning students.

Students are matched one-on-one with volunteer mentors who meet with them once each week to listen, care, motivate, and encourage them to maximize their potential. Mentors in the program are administrative staff, faculty, and classified staff who represent a cross section of the campus community. In addition to weekly meetings between mentors and students, a Guidance seminar and special programs are offered to faster student success.

Project LEAP is currently recruiting both mentors and students. To be a mentor we are asking you to commit one hour a week to provide that extra support students need to succeed.

If you know of any students who can benefit from this program, or if you are interested in becoming a mentor, please call (626) 585-7981 or visit CC213 or apply online for more information.
