Special Transfer ProgramsPasadena City College has many programs that facilitate transfer to four-year institutions. Here are some to explore: Special Transfer Programs for PCC Students:CLAVE - Chicanos/Latinos Advancing in the Values of Education. Advancing from PCC to the University for Chicano/Latino Transfer Students. ROPE - Rights of Passage In Education Transfer Program. Passage from PCC to the Universitiy for African American Transfer Students. Puente Project - A one-year transfer program open to all students. The content of the Puente Project focuses on Mexican American/Latino authors and issues. Fast Track - A program designed for students to begin attending Pasadena City College while still in high school. Students follow a structured format of courses that, upon successful completion of the courses, accelerates transfer from PCC to a four-year college or university in advanced class standing by one or more semesters. Transfer Admission Guarantee - Guaranteed Admission is a commitment that selected colleges and universities make to PCC students who meet basic transfer requirements. Students who complete an agreed upon sequence of classes in general education and a selected major with a stated minimum GPA can apply to the four-year institution within a prescribed time-frame and be "guaranteed admission." Scholars Program - The PCC Scholars Program provides highly motivated students with an intellectually challenging educational experience designed to prepare them for a successful transition from community college to university. |
