How Can You Participate?

If you are a PCC faculty member, you can
- Develop a course that explores some aspect(s) of work in Los Angeles - politics, immigration, technology, business, film, architecture, transportation...
- Consider pairing your LA course with a class in another discipline
- Plan a field trip to the LA River, Chinatown , Disney Hall, the LA County Museum of Art, Watts Tower , the LA Zoo, any place where people work!
- Invite someone to speak to your students on a relevant LA topic
- Share your students' learning during the week-long convocation in May
- Volunteer to speak to another class on an LA topic within your area of expertise
- Attend What Drives LA: Work activities and events with your students
If you are a PCC administrator or staff member, you can
- Volunteer to speak to a class on an LA topic within your area of expertise
- Host a colloquium for your area staff on an LA topic of interest
- Participate in campus-wide activities and events
If you are a PCC student, you can
- Register for a What Drives LA: Work course listed in the Spring 2005 Schedule of Classes
- Participate in campus-wide activities and events
- Encourage your student club to join in the fun
