Welcome Day Activities:
Your PCC LancerCard ID is your student photo identity card and it is your “passport” to services at PCC. Get your LancerCard in the C-Building, 2nd Floor.
The Pasadena City College Bookstore (building B) is the place to purchase academic support materials, and PCC-monogrammed clothing and souvenir items. The required booklist for courses will be posted. Bookstore hours: 7:45 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The college offers a wide range of support services to meet the diverse needs of its students. Check out the Instructional Computing Center with three well equipped computer labs for lectures, lab assignments, and homework. Visit the Learning Assistance Center (building D) which provides academic support to students with a variety or resources and tutoring.
Visit the Transfer Center to learn about programs and services to help you transfer to a 4 year college or university. Learn about "Guaranteed Transfer Agreements" for CSU and UC.
The Shatford Library (building LL) has a substantial collection of books and videos, and a strong offering of library databases that provide access to thousands of online periodicals. Eighteen reference and periodical databases are accessible to enrolled students from home. Potential students and residents may also come into the library to access these databases. The Welcome Day Campus Tours feature a stop at the Library for important information about this valuable resource.
Parking can be a challenge on the first day. Purchase your parking permit online with no extra fee, get a temporary pass. Visit Campus Police in B-210 to get information about alternative transportation such as the Gold Line, bus lines and parking at the CEC building on Foothill and using the PCC Shuttle. Learn about parking options to make that first day much easier
Take a tour of the campus. Learn about the buildings, locate services, find your scheduled classrooms and learn where to park.
