Cosmetology

The program is a 1600 hour program that prepares students to take a State Board test to become a licensed cosmetologist. Instructors give them demonstrations and written tests on the subjects being taught and the students demonstrate what they have learned on their doll heads.

Freshmen students receive instruction separate from upper classmates (approximately 17 students every eight weeks).

Cosmetology has a current passing rate of 90% at State Board and most of the graduates have jobs the minute they pass their board. There are waiting lists each eight weeks that classes are offered.
