Football's Sinclair Earns SCFA Player of the Week For Finale
Running back Zach Sinclair became the third Pasadena City College athlete to earn SCFA National Northern Conference Player of the Week honors for his performance in the football team's 38-17 season-ending loss at Bakersfield Nov. 10.
All three of the selections were for special teams as Sinclair joined earlier Lancer PofW winners in kicker Martin Magana and punter Manny Meza. Sinclair totaled 253 all-purpose yards, including 168 yards in six kick returns v. Bakersfield. He ran for 70 yards and scored on a 17-yard TD run.
A 5-foot-10, 190 pounder from Centreville Academy in Mississippi, the sophomore transfer Sinclair became the team's go-to offensive player over the last several games. He finished second on the Lancers in rushing (451 yards) and he led PCC in overall all-purpose yardage with 860 yards in carries, receptions and returns. His 59-yard kick return v. Bakersfield was the longest by a Lancer all year and his 42-yard carry at Ventura was the longest carry by a PCC running back for the season.
