News: PCC Biology Students Present 2nd Annual Marine Biology Tour Oct. 23

Pasadena City College students will be showcasing the diversity of marine biology and its impact on society at the 2nd annual Marine Biology Tour, from Oct. 23-29 in the Shatford Library rotunda. Additionally, there will be free movie screenings in the Science Village (SV29) on Oct. 25, from 1 to 4 p.m.

Professor Joe Conner’s Biology 16 class, as well as members of the PCC International Club of Marine Biology Scholars, will be conducting personal tours of the exhibit. To register for a tour, visit the information table at the Shatford Library from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Marine Biology Tour was started in October 2011 as a way for students to share their marine biology knowledge and to direct those unfamiliar with the aquaria on campus to the “living systems.” There are currently two aquariums on campus: one in the Shatford Library and the other in the lobby of the Campus Center.

For more information, please contact Dr. Conner at or (626) 585-7163.
