News: Pasadena City College to Host Cash for College Event Feb. 2

Local high school seniors are invited to attend “Cash for College” at Pasadena City College on Feb. 2, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Quad. The workshop, in conjunction with CalGrants, provides free, one-on-one professional financial aid assistance for incoming college students and families with completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the Cal Grant GPA Verification Form. Additionally, an AB540 advisor will be on hand to personally help each student and/or their family to complete the California Dream Act application and explore other scholarship opportunities.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a parent or guardian and their financial documents, such as the 2012 federal income tax return, W-2 Forms, or any records of earned income, as well as a form of identification (i.e. social security card, driver license, or alien registration card).

Parking is available on campus for $2. To view a campus map, please visit http://www.pasadena.edu/maps/campus_map.cfm. For additional information, please go to www.calgrants.org or call (626) 585-7401.
