News: Associated Students Present Gridiron Homecoming Festivities

The annual Homecoming Week festivities as coordinated by the Associated Students of Pasadena City College culminates Saturday, Nov. 12 with the Homecoming Game when the Lancers face rival Mt. San Antonio College. The game has a 6 p.m. kickoff at Robinson Stadium.

On Tuesday, Nov. 8 a Homecoming pep rally will take place in the Quad from 12 noon to 1 p.m. The rally features a parade by the award-winning PCC Marching Band and a performance by the cheer squad. Also at the rally, the Homecoming Court will be introduced as candidates for king and queen.

During the next week, PCC faculty and students participate in spirit competition including the Lancer Games, various 3-person teams that will perform physical challenges, eating competitions and play in trivia contests. Office Spirit decorations will be created and judged.

Prior to the contest, a PCC tailgate takes place between 4 and 6 p.m. at Lot 5A, located next to the stadium at the corner of Bonnie and Del Mar Avenues.

The game's halftime festivities feature the annual crowning of the Homecoming King and Queen by the A.S.
