Pasadena City College standout Dominique Scott, the 2010-2011 South Coast Conference Player of the Year, has joined the 2011-2012 USC women's basketball roster as she will play for PCC Sports Hall of Fame great and Trojans' head coach Michael Cooper.

Scott, who led the Lancers in rebounding the past two seasons, is a late Spring semester addition to the Trojans after backing out of a scholarship with the University at Albany (New York). A 6-foot, junior, Scott will be eligible to play games in early January, and will have an opportunity to play most of USC's Pacific-12 Conference schedule.

Cooper, one of PCC's greatest alumni, played at Pasadena from 1974-76 before going on to a historic NBA career, winning five world championships with the Los Angeles Lakers. As a coach, Cooper directed a pair of WNBA titles for the Los Angeles Sparks before taking the head coaching job at USC in 2009. Cooper was inducted into the CCCAA State Hall of Fame last year.

In her two seasons at PCC under head coach Joe Peron, Scott helped the Lancers to win 49 of 60 games, including an appearance in the CCCAA State Championship Tournament as a freshman. Scott averaged 14.4 points a game and 10.5 rebounds during her Lancers' career. Scott was named to the All-State team as a sophomore and was twice an all-conference selection.

Scott is the only community college transfer on this season's Women of Troy roster. She was PCC's eighth conference player of the year in the past 15 seasons. Scott came to PCC after a strong prep career at Palisades Charter High.
