FASHION Scholarship applications, 2014


DEADLINE: The application is due in CA 102, no later than 12:00 PM on MONDAY, MARCH 3.  (Late applications will not be accepted.)

Please print and submit a physical copy of this form.  Attach the following to the completed form:

  1. An unofficial transcript of your academic history at PCC with all FASHION, Art History, Photo, Art and Design courses highlighted. You can download this from Lancer Point.
  2. Your current course schedule (Spring 2014).

Criteria for awards:  Artistic accomplishment and academic achievement at PCC, as judged by members of the faculty.  The program seeks to support the greatest number of qualified students; in keeping with this goal, the faculty will consider whether a student has been awarded a specific scholarship in the past.  Winners will be required to show proof of enrollment in order to receive funds; some scholarships require full-time enrollment.

Students who meet the eligibility requirements will participate in a portfolio presentation of 6 TO 8 EXAMPLES of their work on THURSDAY, MARCH 20.  Award winning students will be expected to include one gallery-ready work for exhibition in the Scholarship Exhibition, scheduled to run April 18 – May 2.  The scholarships will be presented at opening of the exhibition on APRIL 18.

Names of qualified students will be posted in the small showcase outside the Center for the Arts office (CA102) by TUESDAY, MARCH 4, 12:00 NOON; the scholarship winners will be posted by FRIDAY, APRIL 4.


1. Currently enrolled at PCC (at time of award ceremony).

2. A college-wide grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher.

3. An FASHION/Art/Photo/Design/Art History GPA of 3.5 or higher.

4. Has completed at least four (4) art courses at PCC (FASHION, Art History, Design, Studio Art and Photography courses are included).

5. Will continue as an art/design/photo student in fall of 2014, either at PCC or another accredited institution.

May 5 - 7                Students pick up work at Art Gallery.

(students must make arrangements to pick up work directly with Art Gallery if unable to collect their work during the designated pick-up times.)
