News: Outstanding Student Employee Award

June 2012, Norelvy Villacorta

Norelvy Villacorta has worked for the Learning Assistance Center since fall of 2009. She began in the ESL Center and then transitioned to the LAC. During this time, she has distinguished herself as an excellent student employee.

Norelvy demonstrates patience and professionalism in the way she interacts with students. She communicates well and consistently with staff regarding the needs of the Center, and she engages and troubleshoots problems effectively. Ms. Villacorta exhibits attentiveness in her work and is thorough in addressing issues that arise. She is pleasant, calm, friendly, and helpful. She gets along well with her coworkers, often laughing with them extensively over something and making the work environment fun.

In her free time, Norelvy enjoys drawing, watching movies, and going out with friends.

Ms. Villacorta is a psychology major and hopes to have a career in that field after graduation.

The LAC staff is proud to honor Ms. Villacorta for her valued contribution to the Learning Assistance Center and the students of Pasadena City College.
