The Pasadena City College's Police and Safety Services Department is committed to providing outstanding service to our students, staff and guests. We have adopted a mission Statement which reflects our commitment to this goal.

The Mission of the Pasadena City College Police and Safety Department is to provide a safe, secure and enriching environment for all members and guests of the institution. We recognize the need for a professional and dedicated team of safety personnel to provide these services, and therefore pledge to be ever mindful of our duties and responsibilities as enumerated in the Law Enforcement Code of Ethics.

The Police and Safety Services Department is committed to a Community Oriented Policing philosophy.  As such, members of the Department work in a collaborative effort with students, faculty, support staff and surrounding businesses and residents to create a safe and enjoyable campus atmosphere that promotes higher learning. Through the introduction of innovative techniques in problem solving efforts, this collaborative partnership will celebrate successful accomplishments.

Student with concerns for their safety and/or security while on campus are encouraged to contact the Police and Safety Services Department in person, or by calling 626/ 585-7484 for assistance.  Emergency telephones are located in all elevators, parking lots, and most buildings. Please do not hesitate to utilize these phones if you have a concern for your safety.  Additionally, dialing 911 from any campus phone will connect you directly with the Police Dispatch Center for all emergencies.

The Department offers an escort service for students or staff from classrooms to vehicles when it is felt necessary.  Students and staff are encouraged to use this service.

The district’s crime awareness, campus security policy and crime statistics are available in T 130 and is published in the Schedule of Classes.

The Police Department is open 24 hours a day and is located in the T building, Room 130.
