Dr. Edward Bush
College President
Cosumnes River College

Dr. Bush currently serves as the President of Cosumnes River College (CRC). He has served as president of CRC since 2015. He is responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the institution with a prioritized focus on providing leadership and vision in areas that address improving student outcomes and eliminating historical gaps in achievement. In all of his previous and current administrative roles Dr. Bush has had the privilege of playing a central role in the development of the many institution’s self-studies and has served as a peer review team member.


Academic Representatives


Dr. Teresa Ward
Faculty PD Coordinator
Butte College

Dr. Teresa Ward has worked in a variety of positions at Butte College for 30 years. She is a member of the English department faculty and currently serves as Faculty Professional Development Coordinator, Coordinator of the Rising Scholars program for incarcerated and formerly incarcerated students, and faculty lead for Accreditation. She has worked on several accreditation efforts at Butte College, as a writing team member and as co-chair for Standard III, in addition to her current role helping to prepare for a team visit in 2022. Dr. Ward has served on numerous ACCJC teams since 2009 and has had the privilege of visiting small and large California Community Colleges, as well as two small private institutions. She is honored to be a member of the Pasadena City College team.


Mr. Peter Sezzi
Associate Librarian and Library Department Chair
Ventura College

Mr. Peter H. Sezzi is full-time faculty member at Ventura College (VC) where since Aug 2004 has served as a librarian and Library Dept. Chair. Prior to his employment at VC, Mr. Sezzi was the first full-time librarian at CSU Channel Islands. While at VC he has served in various responsibilities, including Academic Senate President, Curriculum Committee Co-Chair, Program Review Co-Chair as well as serving as Chief Negotiator for his local bargaining unit. Mr. Sezzi has served as both a Team Assistant and Team Member on past peer review teams and is looking forward to being a part of this team. At VC, he helped with the institution’s ISER in addressing standards II.B. as well as the governance standards.


Dr. Thea Trimble
Biology Professor and Science Division Chair
College of the Sequoias

Dr. Trimble has taught Human Anatomy and Human Physiology at the College of the Sequoias for 30 years. During those years, she served as Science Division Chair, Science Academic Senate Representative, Science Curriculum Committee Representative, Academic Senate President, College Council President, and Co-Chair of the Institutional Program Review Committee. Dr. Trimble has served as her college’s Accreditation Chair twice and chaired Standard IV twice and she has served on eight previous peer review teams.


Administrative Representatives


Dr. Stacy Thompson
Vice President of Academic Affairs
Chabot College

Dr. Thompson serves as the Vice President of Academic Services and the Accreditation Liaison Officer at Chabot College, in Hayward, California. Dr. Thompson also serves on local, regional and national boards including; President of the Western Region Council on Black American Affairs (WRCBAA); Vice President of Programs for National Council on Black American Affairs (NCBAA); and member of the Board of Trustees for Lewis and Clark College. Dr. Thompson has served on an accreditation peer review team for Cypress Community College. At her previous institution, Merritt College, she led the Standard 2A team. At Chabot College, she lead the college through its accreditation process in 2015, as well as its mid-term report in 2018. She is currently providing leadership for Chabot's 2022 self-evaluation report and team visit.


Mr. Graciano Mendoza
Vice President of Administrative Services
Cañada College

Mr. Graciano Mendoza has over twenty-five years of work experience in higher education. He serves as Vice President of Administrative Services at Cañada College, where he is  responsible for fiscal, human resources, facilities and public safety functions. Mr. Mendoza’s previous experience includes providing leadership and oversight in budgetary and fiscal areas at West Valley-Mission Community College District and Cabrillo College. Given his leadership role and expertise, Mr. Mendoza has co-chaired Standard III at Cabrillo College for two previous accreditation cycles.


Ms. Carlie McCarthy
Vice President of Student Services
Feather River College

Ms. Carlie McCarthy is the Vice President of Student Services at Feather River College, where she oversees all Student Services programs. Prior to her Vice President appointment, Ms. McCarthy was the Director of Student Success Programs and oversaw the Student Success and Support Program, as well as the Student Equity Program. Carlie served on a peer review team as the Team Assistant last year and was part of Feather River College’s Accreditation leadership team during its recent ACCJC visit.


Ms. Jennifer Holmgren
Director of Planning
Long Beach City College

Jennifer Holmgren is the Director of Planning in the Office of Institutional Effectiveness at Long Beach City College. In her role, she coordinates the College’s planning and program review processes, collaborates with the faculty SLO Coordinator to support assessment of student learning outcomes (SLOs), works with the College’s Accreditation Liaison Officer (ALO) for all accreditation-related reporting, supports participatory governance processes, and serves as a member on a multitude of LBCC’s participatory governance committees. LBCC is currently drafting their 2022 Institutional Self-Evaluation Report and Ms. Holmgren is working closely with LBCC’s ALO and Accreditation Steering Committee faculty and classified tri-chairs to provide guidance to all standard area committees in drafting narratives and collecting evidence. Ms. Holmgren has served on the ACCJC peer review team for the non-profit Young Americans College of the Performing Arts candidacy evaluation, where she was assigned to Standard I.

Ms. Sabrina Sencil
Director of Research & Equity
Cosumnes River College

Ms. Sabrina Sencil is the Director of Research & Equity at Cosumnes River College (CRC), overseeing professional development, planning, and research that is equity-minded. In her role, she proactively works collaboratively across constituency groups to foster a culture of inquiry, capacity building, and community, essential for sustaining forward movement towards positive institution-wide change. This is Ms. Sencil’s first time serving on a Peer Review Team. She has participated in the development of the institutions’ self-evaluation reports for San Joaquin Delta Community College’s 2014 visit and is participating in the development of CRC’s ISER for its 2022 visit.
