Interested in a career in law enforcement or as a corrections or probation officer? The Administration of Justice courses are designed to prepare you for an entry-level job as a police officer, police reserve officer, police assistants or community service officers in police and sheriffs departments.

Whether you plan to continue your education at a four-year university or seek immediate employment, completing of one of our AA, Associates for Transfer Degrees or certificate programs will provide you with both the practical skills and legal background necessary for a career in law enforcement or criminology.


Programs and Degrees


Certificates of Achievement

Our Certificates of Achievement give you the knowledge and training you need to enter a specialized career or enhance your skills for advancement in your job. Designated certificates (18+ units), combined with the completion of General Education coursework may also be applied to an Associate Degree to further increase your employability.

Associate in Science Degree

The AS degrees in Career Technical Education prepare you with the unique skills needed to enter a specialized career field. You may also choose to continue your studies and earn a Bachelor's degree in a related field.

When earning an AS degree in Administration of Justice, you will need to complete the general education requirements for an AS degree in addition to the Certificate of Achievement Requirements.

Associate in Science Degree for Transfer

Earning an AA-T or AS-T degree at PCC guarantees you admission to many four-year universities with junior standing and prepares you to complete a bachelor degree in a similar major at a CSU or a participating UC, HBCU or private university.
