When you apply to PCC through CCCApply, you’ll be asked to verify your identity. This helps protect your information and prevent fraudulent applications.

Choose one of the options below. If you’re under 18 when you apply, you do not need to complete this step.

Choose How to Verify

All three methods satisfy the requirement equally. Choose the one that fits the documents and devices you have.

CA DMV Wallet

Have a valid California driver’s license or ID card and a compatible smartphone? You can use the CA DMV Wallet app to verify your identity.

ID.Me

ID.me offers online identity verification using a government-issued photo ID. You can verify through self-service or a video call with an ID.me agent.

Already have an ID.me account? Use your existing account and follow the prompts to share your verified information with California Community Colleges.

In Person at PCC

If you cannot verify online, we have support available at the Pathways Center in V100 at the Colorado Campus.

What If I Choose “Verify Later”?

You can select “Verify Later” to finish and submit your application. However, your application will not be processed until your identity is verified.

When you’re ready, sign back in to your OpenCCC account to complete online verification, or visit the Pathways Center for support.
