Access to CIM is found under the Logins & Support section of the Faculty & Staff page.

a. Instructional videos for course proposals are available on the Curriculum & Instruction page, under CIM Training Materials.

b. The CIM User Guide, written instructions for course proposals, is linked on the C&I Resources Canvas course home page.

c. For help with program proposals or additional assistance, please contact your division C & I Representative or a Curriculum Specialist.

To find your proposal, select CIM Course Proposals on the Curriculum Management System (CIM) Logins page and type the course code in the CIM search window. The Workflow column will indicate the review status of the proposal.

To access your tech reviewed proposal, select the CIM Approvers (not CIM Courses) button on the Curriculum Management System (CIM) Logins page. To make edits, follow the instructions in the email sent by the C&I Chairperson.

If you are unable to find your proposal or need help making edits, please contact a Curriculum Specialist.

a. New programs - Use the appropriate Program Narrative template document to draft a program narrative. Narrative templates can be found linked from the Program Development tab on the C&I Resources Canvas course home page. 

b. Modifications to existing programs - Contact a Curriculum Specialist to request a copy of the current program narrative to use as a draft narrative document for the program modification.

c. After completing the program narrative draft, enter the new or modified program details into CIM. Access to CIM Program Proposals is found under the Logins & Support section of the Faculty & Staff page.

d. Program Course Requirements - For new programs, assistance with entering the courses in the program requirements table; for modifying programs, editing the course table; or if you have other questions, contact a Curriculum Specialist.

  1. Courses

1. Approved before Fall 2025 - Course Outlines of Record are in the process of being copied into CIM. If the course record in CIM is mostly empty and has not yet been updated, current and future Course Outlines of Record can be found in the Curriculum and Instruction Resources Canvas course, under Files, Current Course Outlines.

2. Approved Fall 2025 or Spring 2026 - Approved CORs are available in CIM History, viewable following these steps:

a. Type the desired course code in the CIM search wndow. (The last approved COR will appear below the search results box.)

b. On the right side of the course record, locate the "History" box. (This box lists the approval history for the COR.)

c. Click the desired date in the history box to view the course outline of record approved for the selected date. 

b. Programs

Approved Program outlines are available in CIM History, viewable following these steps:

1. Type the desired program name in the CIM Program Management search window. Use an asterisk (*) in the search box as a wild card. (The last approved program outline will appear below the search results box.)

2. On the right side of the program outline, locate the "History" box. (This box lists the approval history for the program.)

3. Click the desired date in the history box to view the program outline approved for the selected date.
