Jazz and Commercial Music at PCC offers training in a wide variety of musical styles and skills. While strongly rooted in the traditions of jazz, classes in this area are designed to equip the 21st century musician with relevant abilities for a career in music. Key areas include individual performance skills and work with large and small ensembles, improvisation, composition and arranging, as well as hands-on training in studio production. With a dedicated faculty of industry professionals, cutting edge facilities including an on-campus SSL-equipped recording studio, and a multitude of classes ranging from jazz improvisation to mixing popular music, Jazz and Commercial Music at PCC has something for everyone.
